Metal Sheeting and Composite Panel Roofing

Profile metal sheeting and composite panels are the standard coverings for industrial buildings: warehouses, factories and units where long roof spans need a lightweight, economical and durable covering. Composite panels combine the external sheet, insulation core and internal liner in one factory-made panel, so the roof goes on in a single operation with its insulation already in place.

Our experience extends into both systems, and because we are flat roofing specialists first, we are well placed on the many industrial buildings that combine sheeted slopes with flat-roofed sections, valley gutters and details where the two meet. The junctions between systems are where industrial roofs most often leak, and one contractor responsible for both sides of the junction removes the gap that problems fall into.

Industrial roofing work usually extends into the rest of the envelope, and we deliver that scope. At Alice Ingham Primary School in Rochdale our external envelope upgrade included a bespoke Trespa fascia and cladding system, specialist spray painting of existing cladding to match, new roller shutters, new UPVC windows and new rainwater goods, delivered in conjunction with the roof refurbishment.

We carry that same approach onto industrial buildings: roof sheets, rooflights, cladding, fascias, gutters and windows handled as one package, with our trusted commercial sub-contractors brought in where a specialist trade is needed.

On sheeted roofs, the covering usually outlasts its details. Valley and boundary gutters corrode, fragile rooflights age, and fixings and laps work loose, and each of these lets water into a building whose sheets are otherwise sound. We repair and replace gutters and rooflights and attend to the details, which restores a sheeted roof for a fraction of the cost of re-covering it.
